Sustainable Eyewear

Here’s a shocking fact for you - most plastic takes at least 450 years to decompose.
To offer some perspective, about 8 million metric tons of plastic are in our oceans today.
When these materials finally breakdown into smaller particles, they are being ingested by our sea life, which in turn means it eventually gets ingested by us.
We don’t think that this is the loop that most people want to be a part of. Alternatively, a circular product system is a cycle that we can get on board with and strive towards. The idea of a closed product loop is based in making quality products from the start, which can be easily re-imagined and used again. For example, buying an article of clothing, then recycling it when no longer needed, breaking down the textiles to create other pieces for someone else to enjoy. One product, longer life cycle.

Fashion is one of the top 5 pollution industries in the world. For being an industry centred on beauty, its by-products are also one of the ugliest and no one is without accountability. Therefore, we are committed to being a part of the solution - so far by producing our acetate sunglasses using wood pulp from FSC approved sustainable forestry, as well as from recycled acetates. One step at a time, we are continuing to set goals towards sustainability - introducing biodegradable glitter and acetates in 2019.

We know that every person wants to do what they can to reduce their negative impact on our planet and we want to make it easy for you to do that by offering great styles that do the work for you - in style & sustainability. All of these contributions, whether small or large, are playing a part in working to resolve a really big problem. This is after all our future.
